The Pint Matters
Guinness is more than a menu item here. It’s part of what makes an Irish pub feel like an Irish pub.
The Irishman was built to feel like the kind of pub where the owner knows the room, the Guinness matters, the whiskey shelf is worth exploring and nobody has to work too hard to feel welcome.
EST. 2014 · HUNTINGTON BEACHThe Irishman Pub was founded by Ray Hartnett in February 2014 in beautiful Huntington Beach, California.
The vision was never complicated: create a true Irish experience built around a perfectly poured Guinness, premium authentic Irish whiskey and the kind of friendly service that turns customers into an extended pub family.
Ray is still part of what makes the room feel personal. If you run into him, expect a smile, a handshake and probably a story.

Friendly staff, familiar faces and an easy atmosphere are at the center of the experience.
Even the free fresh-popped popcorn is part of the personality of the place.
The Irishman sits at 424 Olive Ave, around Olive and 5th Street in downtown Huntington Beach. It’s an easy stop before, during or after a night around Surf City.
